Your navigation menu makes it easy for people who visit your site to find what they are looking for. It consists of a list of website links, often organized in a hierarchy, and helps direct visitors to the most important information on your website. 

  1. Select Customize from the WordPress Toolbar, then Menus and find the main navigation menu (it may be called Main Menu or Menu 1 for instance). This is where you can edit your main site navigation menu. Any changes you make here will preview on your site to the right.

2. Add, remove, edit, and rearrange the navigation menu sections to create the menu you want.

To add navigation link: click + Add items. Select what you would like to link to (a specific page or anchor link for instance). You can select Pages then select the page you would like to link to. Alternatively, you can select Custom Link and set a Label and URL you would like to link to. Learn more about anchor links. (eg. /#portfolio for the anchor ‘portfolio’).

To edit a navigation link: click on the item you would like to edit. The settings will appear below. Edit the item’s settings.

To remove a navigation link:  click on the item you would like to remove. Scroll to the bottom of the item’s settings and select Remove.

To reorder the navigation links: drag and drop items to rearrange them.

3. Once you are done, click Save & Publish

4. Test the links to make sure they work.
